hi all,

problem: I need to find a solution how user can enter data into an Oracle 10gR2 DB over the intranet. Right now user entering data into an Excel sheet and this sheet is uploaded later into the DB.

Goal: Having user restrictions and availability to enter the data over the intranet.

My dear boss does not like PHP and he's not a big fan of Oracle FORMS. MS-Access frontend with ODBC is also not an option.

He does like the SQL-Server 2005 so I know it's the wrong forum here Wink but if somebody has an idea for this DB, i would also appreciate it.

Any Ideas?

thanks!

Sounds like your "boss" already made up his mind and is unwilling to accept anything else.

might be.

My chance is to deliver him a good idea which offers users the possibility to enter data over the intranet and offers the DB admins the possibility to enable user-restrictions...
