Which vendor products most of popular in world wide?

One of lectures on HrOUG conference last October presented such an image (*); perhaps it'll help you get the picture of who is where on the RDBMS market.

Note that is displays situation in 2008 (not 2009), but ... I guess that not that much changed within a year. Take it just as an illustration and pointer for your future investigations.

Information was gathered from Gartner and Forrester so - perhaps you could take a closer look.
